When you are expressing an interest in referring a child, enrolling a child in one of our programs or subscribing to our online newsletter, FFBI YFP asks you for personal contact information such as your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address.
Use of Information/Storage of Information
We may use this information to contact you to clarify or obtain information about a child you have referred or enrolled; or to send you additional information about FFBI YFP. This information may be reported to The Youth Firesetting Information Repository & Evaluation System (YFIRES) for program enrollees. This information is stored in our database on a multi-layered secure, password protected server.
Personally Identifiable Information- YFP enrollees and family/caregivers
Information Collected
When enrolling a child in the YFP, we collect the following information about the child: name, age, gender, ethnicity, school name, school grade, mental health status and diagnosis, substance abuse history, family law enforcement history, school performance history, history of abuse, social media accounts utilized by the child, and the referring agency’s name and phone number. If there are other children present in the household of the enrollee, we collect their first names, ages, genders and relationship to the enrollee.
In the enrollment process of the YFP, we collect the following information about the child’s parent(s)/caregiver(s): name, address, email, phone number, level of education and marital status.
Use of Information/Storage of Information
The information collected through the FFBI YFP may be used in the following ways: to contact the child’s family, to monitor the on-going progress of youth firesetters who have been enrolled in the program (during and after) and as statistical data to analyze the program’s effectiveness. This information is never sold but is reported to The Youth Firesetting Information Repository & Evaluation System (YFIRES). This information is stored in our database on a multi-layered secure, password protected server.

Our Privacy Policy is subject to change from time to time.
