ALCOHOL AND DRUG

Panacea Services Inc.: 854-4564; Offers AOD counseling and Armstrong Substance Misuse.
New Dawn Recovery: 723-4335; Offers counseling for those suffering from chemical dependency. Day treatment program as well as inpatient and outpatient AOD Services.
SBAC: 454-4242; Offers AOD services and theft education.
The Effort: 368-3080; Offers AOD services especially with methamphetamine. Services are provided across different levels of care (detox, residential, outpatient, medical clinic) and they provide full service treatment, including medical support through their primary care clinic and co-occurring disorders treatment for those clients with co-existing mental health issues.

A variety of these teen centers offers pro-social activities and events such as arts and crafts, internet, video gaming, board games, pool, foosball, movies, volunteer opportunities, martial arts, dance, sports activities, groups and field trips. Please call for specific services.

SETA One Stop Centers offer a variety vocational and employment opportunities for youth and adults. Various employment assistance grants specific to probationers. Case manager will assess individual needs. Several Locations throughout Sacramento.

HOUSING RESOURCES

Teen Shelters (under 18)

Wind Teen Center: 628-0395; Offers a variety of services for homeless teens 11 to 22 years of age. Shelter, school, meals, laundry, and case management services. Youth advocate will assist 18 to 22 year olds with housing referrals.
Volunteers of America: 442-3691; Support services for families, children and seniors; outreach and referral for the homeless, mentally ill; re-entry programs for sex offenders; recovery programs for alcoholics and drug abusers; shelter for homeless; job placement.

MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT / INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY COUNSELING

After Counseling: 344-0249; Offers alcohol and drug services, anger management, domestic violence, family counseling and sex and theft education.
EMQ: 388-6314; Offers WRAP services, individual and family counseling for child sex abuse, psychiatric services.
Strategies for Change: 473-5764; Offers substance abuse treatment for individuals and families including: Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient and Youth Substance Abuse Treatment. Services are offered to men, women and youth on an outpatient basis and are ideal for those who require slightly less structure than a “live in” program. Clients attend programs based on their level of need and return home at the end of the day.

VOCATIONAL / EDUCATION

Northern California Construction and Training: 387-1564; Offers free training to students in home construction.
ROP: 228-2454; Offers free job training for youths 16 and up. They have a variety of free and low cost vocational and trade programs.
Sacramento Local Conservation Corps: 386-8394; Offers young adults a development program that integrates education, job-skills training and work experience through conservation projects and service opportunities that benefit the community.
SETA: 263-3833; Operates all Sacramento Works One Stop Career Centers, Grant funded Re-entry program, vocational and employment training, education services, counseling and case management services.
Sacramento Valley Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program: 922-9381; Offers a 5 year apprenticeship program. Client must pay union dues to get into program.
